Gowanda Central Budget Vote Results
On Tuesday, May 19, 2026 The Gowanda Central School District held their annual budget vote and school board election. Those results have now been released by the school.
* Proposition #1 for the 2026–27 budget successfully passed with 178 yes votes to 59 no votes.
* Proposition #2, for the purchase of four buses, passed with 201 yes votes to 36 no votes.
* Proposition #3, establishing a Capital Improvements Reserve Fund, passed with 181 yes votes to 47 no votes.
* Proposition #4, the local library appropriation, also passed with 186 yes votes to 42 no votes.
In the Board of Education election, Aimee Gernatt received 196 votes and Zachary Nobles received 173 votes, securing the two open positions on the board. Brandon Newell finished the evening with 60 votes.
