Gowanda Small Town Times

Jamestown Community College recently released their Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. To be eligible, a student must achieve a minimum 3.50 GPA while enrolled in at least 12 degree hours.

Three Gowanda-area students were on the list including Christian Merrill of Collins and Julia Jefferlone & Madalyn West, both of Gowanda.

Southern New Hampshire University has announced the following Gowanda student was named to the Spring 2025 President’s List: Marisa Lopez of Gowanda.

WNY P-TECH in Dunkirk and CAM P-TECH in Springville have announced their High Honor/Honor/Merit Roll lists for the third quarter of 2025. Several Gowanda students were among the honorees as lited below.

Crystal Rose-Williams, Jamestown Community College interim associate vice president of student affairs, and Jessica Kubiak, JCC vice president of academic affairs, recently announced students awarded degrees or certificates from the the Jamestown Community College Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses in the summer of 2024.

Sixteen of the 49 graduates earned high honors with a 3.50-3.99 GPA. One Gowanda student, Mary Denea (A.S.: Business-Business Administration – High Honors), was included in that announcement.

A pair of Gowanda students became recent college graduates with announcement made by Buffalo-area colleges.

Buffalo State

Buffalo State recently congratulated a number of students who completed the requirements to earn their degrees in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Among those local students is Jadyn Jones of Gowanda, who graduated with a BS in Health and Wellness.

University at Buffalo

Skyler Capozzi of Gowanda, graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of Arts and Sciences.
