116th Annual Prince Reunion to be held

The 116th annual Prince reunion will be held on August 12, 2023 at the Allen Family Farm, located at 8999 Route 353, Gowanda, NY 14070-9650, 10 am โ€“ 5 pm.

Job Prince (1751/2 - 1827) and Rhoda Kibbe (1770-1831) had ten children. Nine of those children spent at least some time in Cattaraugus County during the 1800s. Son Jonathan had a total of twenty children. Of those twenty children, nineteen lived to adulthood and eighteen married. Many descendants still live in the Western New York area. All are welcome to attend.

Daughter Mary/Polly (1797-1844) married twice, 1. Issac Wheeler 2. Mr. Patterson. Daughter Samantha (1798-1841) married David Milks. They had a total of eight children. Son David (1799-1832) married Margaret unknown. Son Job, Jr. ( 1801-1828) also married a woman named Margaret. They moved to VT. Daughter Sarah (1803-1884) married Peter Harder. They had 6 children and eventually moved to WI. Daughter Elizabeth (1805-1874?) married Clark Doty (1782-1874). They had 9 children. Son Jonathan (1808-1886) married twice, first Polly Ely (1806-1844). They had 8 children. Second, Jonathan married Catherine Hitchcock (1824-1904). They had twelve children. Daughter Jane (1811-1860) married a Mr. Cook. Son Morgan married twice. First to Rebecca Sisson. They had one son. Second to Susan Strickland. They had a total of 5 children. Daughter Emily Ann married Mr. Nichols, then Samuel Kipe.
If you have family in the Persia/Dayton/Gowanda area in the mid to late 1800s, we are probably related.

Please bring a dish to pass, a story to tell, updated family information, your own beverage, table service, chair, etc. Please bring something for a basket raffle. This year, out goal is $2000 to pay for underground radar and a new sign for the Milks Cemetery on Rt. 353 in Persia, NY. Many of our family members are buried there. Several known headstones have fallen and are buried.
