Jamestown Community College has announced the names of the full-time students who have earned Dean’s List honors for academic excellence during the spring 2023 semester.

Two Gowanda students are among those named for Dean’s List honors. They are Mary Denea and Rosalee Royce.

Andrew Musacchio recently earned a degree from Grove CIty College on May 20, 2023. Musacchio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and General Science Secondary Education Certification. Musacchio is from Gowanda. In addition, he was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester. He is a 2019 graduate of Gowanda Central School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Musacchio (Brenda) from Gowanda.

The following Jamestown Community College students from the Gowanda area received academic awards from the Jamestown Campus in May:

Gowanda: Danielle Fial (Benjamin Lockwood Persevering Student Award)

Perrysburg: Fox Birdtail (Roger C. Seager Presidential Scholarship)

Jamestown Community College students, including one from Gowanda, were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society during ceremonies recently on the Cattaraugus County and Jamestown campuses.

A student must achieve at least a 3.50-grade point average to be considered for the national two-year college honor fraternity.

Thirty-one students were inducted into the Jamestown Campus Alpha Kappa Beta chapter, and seven into the Cattaraugus County Campus Alpha Psi Omega chapter.

Joana Leamon, a 2020 JCC graduate and promotions post-production editor and producer for Buffalo Toronto Public Media, was the guest speaker. The ceremonies were attended by friends and family members of the inductees.

Andrew Musacchio, a biology and general science secondary education certification major at Grove City College from Gowanda, has been named to the Dean’s List with High Distinction for the fall semester.
