On Friday, December 14, the Gowanda wrestling team and the Varsity boys basketball team were the only two Varsity teams in action. Basketball was at Cassadaga Valley and wrestling was at Maple Grove.

The last three points of that run came from 3-point range before Logan Ruff answered with a 3-pointer to open the scoring for Gowanda. Cassadaga Valley landed three more shots from long distance in the period as they secured a 22-14 advantage by the end of the opening quarter. Gowanda reversed that in the 2nd quarter.
